To find an entity in Wikidata, search wikidata.org for its name and open the item with the right description; its Q-ID (for example Q42) is the identifier. The item’s statements list properties such as instance of (P31), official website (P856) and external identifiers, and the SPARQL query service lets you find related entities in bulk.

How do you query Wikidata with SPARQL?

Change the property to find related entities, for example everything with wdt:P112 (founded by) pointing at a person’s Q-ID.

What if your entity is not in Wikidata?
